Privacy Policy

D E Capital Limited takes your right to privacy very seriously and complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (the Act) when dealing with personal information (Data). This Privacy Policy sets out how we may collect, use, disclose and protect personal information. This policy solely applies to Dollar Eighty and does not exclude any rights of the user under the Act.

1. Data Collection
In order to provide you with our services, we need to collect Data. This is collected upon signing up to our services. The Data we collect includes: name, email address.

We collect data from you when you sign up to our services and additionally through any communication we have with you. If you chose not to provide us with certain data then our services may not be available to you or will be limited.

2. Data Use
We may use your information in order to:

  • provide and maintain the services we provide;
  • market our services to you;
  • notify you about changes to our services;
  • collect money that you owe Dollar Eighty, including the authorisation of credit card transactions;
  • communicate with you;
  • protect and/or enforce our legal rights and interests, including defending any claim; and
  • for any other purpose authorised by you or the Act.

    We take all reasonable precautionary measures to ensure the protection of any Data we collect from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse.

    4. Accessing and Correcting your Data
    At any time, you can request access or a correction of your readily retrievable Data and we will comply, subject to any grounds for refusal set out in the Act. To have this correction made, you can contact support@dollareighty.com. If we cannot make the change you have requested, we will take reasonable steps to ensure a note is made that you have made a request.

    For security reasons, in making this correction or providing you access to any Data, we may request evidence to confirm you are the individual to whom the Data relates.

    5. Request to Delete your Data
    You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data held by Dollar Eighty. If you wish to exercise this right, please email your request to support@dollareighty.com.

    We will promptly review and respond to your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. Please note that certain data may be exempt from deletion due to legal obligations or legitimate business purposes.

    6. Disclosing Data
    In order to provide our services to you, we may need to disclose your Data to third parties such as:

    • Any business that support our services and products, including any person that hosts or maintains any underlying IT system or data centre that we use to provide the website or other services;
    • A person who can require us to supply your personal information;
    • Any other person authorised by the Act of another law; and
    • Any other person authorised by you.

    7. Service Providers
    In order to provide the optimal user experience, we use third party services (Service Providers). These Service Providers have access to your Data solely to facilitate the functioning of Dollar Eighty and are obliged not to disclose it or use it for any other purpose.

    8. Internet and IP Address
    Whenever you use our Website, or any other website, the computer on which the web pages are stored needs to know the network address of your computer so that it can send the requested web pages to your internet browser. The unique network address of your computer is called its “IP address”, and dissent automatically each time you access any internet site. From a computer’s IP address, it is possible to determine the general geographic location of that computer but otherwise it is anonymous.

    9. Cookies
    We use cookies to monitor and enhance the User experience of our services and website. You can disable cookies in the settings of your browser, however by doing this you will be limiting the use of certain features.

    10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
    Dollar Eighty may need to make changes to this policy. If changes are made, the updated policy will be uploaded onto our website and will apply from the date of upload. For any substantial changes that we make to the policy we will notify the user via email. We will use the email address collected from the user upon signing up to use our services and it is up to the user to understand the changes.
